Antioxidants and masterbatches based on PA6
Branch "Khimvolokno Plant" manufactures polymeric concentrates (PC) as follows:
- PCS - cupriferous;
- PCS-I – containing organic stabilizer;
- PCМА – containing titanium dioxide (TiO2);
For production of PC there is used high-qualitative PA-6 chips from the plant made by Uhde Inventa-Fischer allowing to produce chips of stable quality with high filterability and low monomer content.
PCS manufacture is performed on twin-screw extruder equipped with precise dosing sta-tions (accuracy class 0,5), and respectively ensures uniform additive addition into PC.
PCS-cupriferous protects PА-6 from appearance of crispness and change in mechanical properties as due to thermo-, light destruction as due to atmospheric ageing. To enhance efficiency of application of cupriferous compounds there is chosen optimal ratio of halo-genides of alkali metals ensuring long protection of PA-6.
PCS cupriferous also contains waxes for processability enhancing.
Peculiarity of the PCS and feature distinguishing of the suggested foreign analogues is a presence of organic compound that potentiates cupriferous compounds and that is an UV-stabilizer itself. PCS ensures after heat treatment - 4 hours at 1770С - maintaining of strength ≥ 88% and guarantees protection from UV-exposure during 3 years.
Concentration of PCS ~8%, its recommended input ~ 2%.
PCМА – it is input to provide dullness to technical and BCF yarns. There is used anatase form of TiO2. To prevent yarn yellowing at their further heat treatment and with time passing as well as to provide stability to UV-exposure, organic stabilizer is input into content of PCMA.
Concentrate of PCMA – 10% (can be decreased as on desire of a customer). Input per-cent is set depending on required dull level of a ready article (micro-dull, semi-dull, dull).
PCS-I – it is input for polymer and yarn protection from UV-exposure, ensures per cent of strength retaining more than 75% at accelerated testing for fastness to weather, that assures yarn properties retaining during 3 years.
Concentration of PCS-I – 6,5% (can be increased by desire of a customer), recommended input ~ 2,0%.
Advantage of PC produced by PTC "Khimvolokno" is that they are manufactured for own production facility and have successfully used for more than 10 years. Their compo-sition, way of production and physical and chemical values are optimized to ensure higher processability and production of high-qualitative yarns on SDW-plants at spinning rates > 3000 m/min as well as on spin-texturizing plants. Products manufactured with us-age of PC are successfully sold to the CIS and foreign countries.
